Start Up Sounds!!

I do hope the HL2 has the same sounds when it starts up. That deep bass sound that goes BUUNNNGGG at the beginning ot the Value intro mov in HL makes me smile everytime. That sound is Halflife.

What do you think? can anybody here post it a .wav file?

I hated that sound.
I liked the ch-knng (ascending tone) when you clicked on like Options in the main menu. And the noise for the Cancel button ch-kzzt (short and descending tone)
Almost as satisfying as the b-tssuuoooo noise when you flicked on the night-vision goggles in Splinter Cell.

...i always use -nointro switch, ive never even watched those sierra/valve intro movies. heh.

I 2nd that, and like in the game "The Getaway", the cinematics were pretty long and you couldn't skip them (even the 2nd time you played the mission

just go into the movie folder and click

delete

works for BF1942 anyways.

the game intro itself was cool, but the annoying "ea challenge everything" deal sucked, as did the dice videoclip, good thing they stop playing if you rename or delete em.

What? No it wouldn't...Maybe if someone started charging admission to access the thread then yeah...Even if it did technically qualify I can't see Valve sicking their lawyers on some poor forum poster.

when i saw that valve thing i was like what the heck that isthe gayest looking thing ever... i wish the startup sound was just a blank nothing that would make it seem very emotional to me asi prepare to play hl2
