Steam Account Issues...

I dont know if my steam account has been hijacked or its my wireless router, i've tried unblocking all the ports and it still doesnt log me in....Its an AirLink Wireless router...I dont know wot else to try..

And you can't log in into Steam at all? E.g. You put in your right username and password and Steam says it's wrong? Then maybe your account is hijacked. You can e-mail your password to your e-mail address by clicking on the button below the login button (It's called 'I can't log in' or 'I forgot my password' or something).

This Could be due a to a problem with your internet connection, or with the steam network.

If that's the error message you're receiving, the good news is that your Steam account hasn't been hijacked.

Have you only been receiving this issue with your new router?

Have you forwarded the following ports:

http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=160

The following FAQ may be of assistance:

First thing to try though would be to completely exit Steam, delete the file entitled:

clientregistry.blob

And then attempt to connect again.

Oddly enough I have the same router, but it was working before, then just... STopped, it now doesn't even work with a wired modem.

But have you tried deleting the .blob files we both spoke of?

Then just recover your password. Just start Steam and click on a button called 'I can't log in' or 'I forgot my password' or something. Then just follow the instructions.

Well, start bashing those passwords, then. Try to remember the password. Maybe a friend knows it?

Don't forget your CD-key, your (possible) password(s), your account name, your e-mail address the account is bound to, and, if possible, photos of the receipt and information of the purchase, like the four last numbers of your card (Only if it was online).
