Steam Client Beta Available

A new beta for Steam client is available. To access it go to File>Settings, and on Account tab pick Change... button. [br]From drop down menu pick Steam Client Candidate.
[br]List of changes:

• Added support for upcoming L4D server groups feature
  
• Several localized text fixes
  
• Improved behavior of Steam if a game it launched crashes
  
• Fixed a case where the game overlay could get stuck up while in-game
  
• Fixed a case where the game overlay could cause a game crash after alt-tab

I've had that happen a few times.

Well, I used to fix that one by alt+tabbing.

Its nice that the -noborder option for speedy alt-tabbing is in the L4D options by default now.

I wonder what the specifics of this grouping system is, I know they mentioned in the mailing list that they were gonna let people subscribe to server farms via the community groups, so you favored their servers over randoms, which sounds cool if its all integrated into the UI, the matching UI is acctully really nice atm, it just needs to work!

All I want is to able to favourite Internode, GamingSA, Bigpond, Netspace servers and never join any other networks servers. The listed server networks give me vanilla servers with good abuse reporting systems.

Hooray. I'm so sick of my computer and steam flipping out everytime a game crashes. Crashing isn't nearly as annoying as spending 10 minutes for it to get worked out.
