Here is a FAQ that i have made for various Steam Stuff.
If you have anything that you want to add just PM me and i will try to add it as soon as possible.
I will probably update it later, but here's what i have written so far.

Q: Where can i get Steam?
A: You can get Steam here.
Q: Will Steam cost money?
A: Valve have confirmed that Steam will stay 100% free but there will be an optional subscription charge in the future that will enable you to electronically receive all Valve products upon release. They have said the subscription will be $10 a month. So far those are all the details we have been given on the subscription but it will be optional.
Q: How do i get a game/mod using Steam?
A: Go to Games and double-click the game you want and then Steam will download the game that you selected.
Q: Can i cancel a download of a game?
A: No you cant, not without closing Steam, but when you start Steam again the download will be resumed.
Q: How do you play Mp3 songs in a game?
A: To play Mp3 songs you need to move the song(s) to the game folder and to make it easier rename them to something with one word, then when you have gone into the game go to the console and type "mp3 play filename.mp3" without the quotes.
Q: How do i edit my commandmenu?
A: Either copy the old file into the game folder and edit it, or you could create a new commandmenu file and start adding things.
Q: My Steam wont start, what should i do?
A: Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and see if Steam is not responding, if it isnt responding terminate it and then restart it.
Q: My Steam still wont start, what should i do now?
A: Without pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete try to restart Steam and wait a while, if that doesnt work try reinstalling Steam.
Q: The game always freezes when i try to connect to a server, what should i do?
A: Try waiting maybe 5 minutes and if its not working restart your computer and try again, if it is not working and you have the game in /Sierra/... you should just delete the game folder and then reinstall the game, and thats what you could do if its ok to download the game again.
Q: I get an error where it says 'No children still registered', what should i do?
A: That error and all the errors where it says 'JIT Debugging error' at the bottom of the error message are reffered to as 'JIT Debugging errors' and you can read the solution to the problem below.
Q: I have some error where it says 'JIT Debugging error' at the bottom and Steam isnt working, what should i do?
A: The only thing you can do about it is to reinstall Steam, but before you reinstall it make backups of all the folders you find in /Steam/SteamApps/[email protected] and then it will work.
Q: On all the buttons it says something with #SteamRoot, what should i do?
A: Delete the file called ClientRegistry.blob (its in your Steam folder)
Q: My games wont start, what should i do?
A: Just have the 'Preparing to play <gamename>' window up and it will probably start.
Q: My games still wont start, what should i do now?
A: Go to Steam/SteamApps/[email protected] and see if there is a folder called Counter-Strike (if thats the game you want to start), delete that folder if there is one and then try again.
Q: I tried to change my video settings to Direct3D but now my games doesnt work, what should i do?
A: Go to 'Games', right-click on the game you want to play and choose 'Properties', then choose 'Launch Options' and add the text "-gl" without the quotes and then do so with the rest of your games and then start the game you want to play.
Q: When will Half-Life 2 be able for download with Steam?
A: No date is confirmed for the release of Half-Life 2
Q: How do i download Half-Life 2 using Steam?
A: There will be an option to download Half-Life 2 as soon as it has gone gold, but you will have to pay.
Q: Will Half-Life 2 be cheaper if you buy it through Steam?
A: Maybe, nothing is confirmed.
Q: Will i have to pay to download Half-Life 2 again if i have formatted my computer?
A: No you wont, since when you have bought the game your buy will be registered to your Steam Account.
Q: Do i have to have Steam to play Half-Life 2?
A: Steam will be required for all of Half-Life 2 but Valve have just recently added functionality to enable you to use Steam offline, without an internet connection
Q: Do i have to pay to play Half-Life 2 Multiplayer?
A: No, you wont.
Q: What more games/mods will be available through Steam?
A: VALVe hasnt said anything about this but probably Team Fortress Classic 2, Counter-Strike 2 and maybe some more games/mods.
Q: Will i need Half-Life 2 to play Team Fortress Classic 2 and Counter-Strike 2?
A: Yes, since those two games are mods like the first versions.
