STEAM Friends List

My Friends Network is bogus, I add my friends, but they NEVER show up as online, even when I know they are on and we're playing together, My Friends list also can not locate my own account if I try to add myself, I don't know what the hell is going on with it, but it's really annoying. Any Help?

And also, my friends never can see me online either.

It's the same thing for everyone. Forget the Steam List... use Xfire.

Wow, If I do anything involving the friends I have added (that never show up online), such as click on them and look at info and stuff, then when I later reopen my Friends list, they have been deleted and the list is blank.

I'm kind of sad about how much Friends suck, I've got a lot of really cool people that I met in games and added to friends that I never see again

..Uh, Why the hell doesn't Valve FIX it? Or is that out of the question? How dare they make their product work!
