why is this not working for me?

This is what I do
and this is the error I get

I add the line after:
E:\-location\- Steam\steam.exe

but when I try and apply this, or 'OK' it, I get the error you see above.

Do it like this..

"E:\-location\- Steam\steam.exe" -blahlah -blahblah2

Make sure the path is in quotes, there is a SPACE before and after the first
-blahblah
(please don't actually put -blahblah)

You can change your contact email, but I don't know if you can change your username.

i remember emailing Gabe about this and his reply was that for now people are stuck with whatever username they have but they would be working on this for the future.

Too bad xfire can't do messages ingame correctly like friends will/can.

i have read everything here to try to fix my problem, but i can't seem to fix it. here is what i have in my target box C:\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe -clientbeta steam3friends -beta steam3friends if you guys could help with that and also tell me where to go to open the friends list, that would be awesome.

Actually, the really important part, is to stick quotes at the end of "blahblah".
If you don't have quotes at the end of it, it won't work.

Though adding the command line did work for me, the friends part still says that it's "not available yet" (same message as I had before I added the command line)

I did the friends beta line yesterday but my server browsers f***** up completely. I wasn't able to ping to any of my favourites and no servers were appearing
