Steam + HL2 Leak Related?

Take a look at the attachment. It was taken today, and it looks like Steam is a bit ****ed up. Does this have anything to do with the HL2 source screw-around?

every button on my steam says steamroot instead of what it should...dunno what the hell is up with that

delete your ClientRegistry.blob in your Steam main folder. It will fix the #steamroot menu glitch. It will cause Steam to DL a very very small update (that file) and everything will be right as rain.

i didn't restart steam since .. umm .. either after yesterday's update or this morning ..

you know what i am worried about? some hacker hacks steam content servers and puts some virus that steam will download the next time it restarts o_o

Actually I posted this in the STEAM forum here at HL2.net minutes after the patch was applied but NOONE uses the search function on this site

while im at it anyone know why i cant play HL anymore? I can play cs...bu when i open Hl from steam and i roll the mouse over any button in the main menu for HL...it crashes...

im thinkin i have to redownload...but then i have to redownload cs as well

/me turns on firewall and glares at Norton Anit-Virus.

By the way, downloading the new .blob file changed the order of my games in addition to giving me a "dedicated server" option which I didn't have before. This is wierd.

Well, Steam is now f***ed. Who the hell's going to trust Valve with their credit-card info after THIS? :x

Half-Life 2 won't be out till next year now. Thanks to this f***. ;(
