seriously I double click the TF2 icon and the cursor turns into an hr glass for a slit second and nothing happens other then me ripping the hair out of my head.
clicking on the steam icon does the same thing..nothing. deleting the registry.blob file doesn't make any difference either.

I hate steam.

Yeah I have that problem all the time. Try restarting the computer, it worked or me.

Steam has a balance. Allowing you to play your games in one simple package, whilst crashing constantly.

COSMIC BALANCE, MAAAAN.

ya I restarted the computer like 5 fu(kin times and it doesn't work. I tried to reinstall
steam but it won't let me cause it claims that it's already running. I can't even close it from the steam icon that normally sits in the corner next to the time cause it's not there.

basically I have to restart my computer over and over again until steam feels like working.
I wish I could play the bloody game that I paid for.

Kill Steam from the Task Manager. Run TF2. Problem solved.

ctrl + alt + delete + processes + steam.exe + End Process + start steam again + start tf2 + don't be such a lazy ass next time = SUCCESS! :D

Seriously, I think the only people that hate steam are lazies, and computer newbies that don't know how to work their computers other than the buttons on the outside.

pressing alt crtl delete kicks up the task manager but steam doesn't show up as not working, in fact it doesn't show up at all. What I have to do is delete the clientregistry.blob and restart my computer. cause if I just delete it and try logging into steam nothing happens. if I try booting up steam or any steam based game nothing happens. And whenever I shut down or restart the pc it realizes that steam is not working and begins the end task crap. I can't restart steam unless the icon appears in the trey next to my time but that doesn't happen unless I delete a steam file and restart the computer.

the only way to play my games is to delete the clintregistry.blob file and restart my pc. this is what I have to get used to doing for now on if I want to play one of my steam based games like TF2. I'v had steam for years with no problem. but I guess I'm a retarded noob since it's not working right now.

...and people whose local phone company sucks because they won't support DSL or cable, thus being limited to slow dial-up speeds. :p This is the only reason why I don't like Steam, otherwise I would probably be addicted to it's easy access to games like a crack/cocaine junkie. :|
