Steam is crap!!!..and a resource pig

I cannot believe we have to swallow this piece of shite poorly written garbage....the servers never respond without lag, the app stalls the boot up on my kick azz XP rig every single time I boot the machine..I have to manually go in and kill it through task manager just so it stops eating resources and stalling other apps from running normally on bootup, you can't even play a single player HL game when their sorry azz servers don't respond....this steam idea was a nice "idea", however, it was executed no better than that..an IDEA!!!...too bad they are to stupid to realize they are alienating the very people that flocked to the great frenzy that once was the HL community..I for one am sick of reading posts from people that claim Valve doesn't owe us anything..screw that!!...they are ruining what could be a great experience by forcing us to use this piece of crap steam that was NEVER ready to be rolled out in the 1st place......I continue to sit here WAITING for CS to update and keep receiving "the game is currently unavailable"....what a piece of shite!!!..I'm going to bed.....:flame:

blah blah blah, pretty sad when you say your kick azz XP rig can barely run it. Yeah my other pc, 500mhz(735 once I find the processor ) can run steam without a problem. It looks like its the people that don't know how to use the program.

It works fine for me, haven't had a single drama, unfortunately even with flawless operation I still don't like it and do not use it.

I haven't boycotted it, there's simply nothing worth playing via Steam (in my opinion). I'll stick to Enemy Territory with a bit of Halo on the side until Half-Life 2 or another anticipated future release hits the shelves.

Steam wont even start for me... A big pop up saying that it caused an error and needed to close and would i like it to send or not to send an error report.
