Steam is laggy

Wow is it just me or is steam running very slowly right now. Today steam got hacked by a user. It went offline for some time. Tough day for steam. And no its not my comp i checked. It's really steams fault.

According to VALVe, Steam didn't get hacked. Could be some psychotic database error.. I'm well aware that everyone's name got changed to [A-K-S] W .^. R R ! O R, but again, it's not necessarily a hack.

Anyway, wrong forum.. there's a Steam one, y'know.

yeah but they dont post as often :naughty: The hacker must have done something. I mean yesterday it worked fine. Heck this morning it worked fine. Its just now that it runs very slowly.

same problem here.
my brother logged onto Friends late last night only to have a few pple from HL2.net and some of his buddies requesting to be added to the list.. and he was like "wtf are these pple?"

anyway, yeah its annoying that Friends hasn't been working at all for the past 2 weeks or so.

Steam is infinitely more handy than any third party chat program when organizing a game of VALVe gaming goodness!

Simply because it's ingame as well as out of game.. no alt tabbing involved

I wasted a lot of my day trying to download CZ: Deleted Scenes. And after all that, I felt like putting a bullet in my own head about level 3

I tryed logging onto steam today and it never got past the startup conection window, then when i went on it offline i couldn't play anything in offline mode . I thought it was trying to update or something?
Its a pain in the ass on my 56k not knowing wtf its doing or how longs its going to be -_-.

Disable the QOS Packet scheduler, error should go away.
