steam is out!

As the steampowered.com forums are down (the web site is down), ill ask here.

Has anyone had these problems with the new Steam ?

- It will not connect to the friends list.

- When I click on games, then try to install say HL or CS, it tells me how much room it will take but then when I press OK it crashs. Very annoying.

Anyone had these ?

Yep.

Look at the steam error log after this happens to see the problem.

I wouldn't bother, at least not yet. I'd have waited about a week if i'd have known it was gonna be this bad. You could always wait and get it with hl2, but i expect you'd want to play steam games until then.

Meh, I usually don't play steam games at all so I can live without it, haven't even turned it on for about a month now.
