Steam Playing issue

OK i want to play counter strike source for garrys mod but i need to go through with decryping and the preparing to play thing that says how many minutes are left. Now for the problem, I have.....well i have......ummm....Dial up. I know its sucks but i can help it its all i got. but for hl2 it took about 30 min. not that long i can wait that long but now for css. 400+ min! i cant take it is there any way to speed up this. ill take 1hour and a half. anything faster than 400min. What wierd is i went to my sisters house because she has high speed internet and had to install it becuase i my internet was out of order. but anyway it took 200min for hl2 and about 30 for css!! i was playing css but i had to erase it becuase of bugs in hl2. but now hl2 is working fine and i want to play garrys mod for css. someone help

I have dial-up too, and it does suck. You'll just have to wait, man. I leave it on overnight or whatever just so it will download. If you have trouble with getting kicked off, I do have this one program called "Keep It Alive" that I use, which can be found at... oh, well it used to be at www.pclightning.com/kpalive.html but apparently they are not paying their bills or something. Anyways, the zip file is only 332 kb, so I can send it to you by email or something if you want.

i guess your right ill just have to wait. i still odnt know why hl2 was slower on high speed internet
