Steam purchasing down?

I've just tried to buy Counter-Strike: Condition Zero via STEAM. After I've filled in all my details, and have clicked purchase, a loading box comes up, and progesses slowly. After about a minute, I'm told to try again later. I've tried quite a few times with no luck.

Is this to do with DDoS attack?

Out of curiostiy, just try and create a new accout. I get a steamprocesscall(createaccount) error....

Was going to try it, but when I try to logout, STEAM freezes...

Eeep, restarted, was logged out, now it just freezes after I click "login"...

Woo... 3rd edit: I've now got a screen reporting it can't find the STEAM network (and obviously) blames my internet connection :upstare:.

Yeah i get the same error about the internet connection malarkey.

When i go to create new account from the login screen, i get that error i mentioned before.

Absolutely crazy shit!

Right now I'm hoping there hasn't been any security breaches and this is just another wave of the DDoS... although the STEAM monitor isn't reporting anything unusual, so... geh.
