Steam seems as unresponsive as ever

It's not the fact that it's slow, its that it sits "not respresponding" in task manager, and doesn't respond to mouse clicks or display when you click to game.

I know the network is probably bogged down, but the application shouldn't handle all this lag by semi-crashing and becoming unresponsive, ANY sort of visual feedback or response would be good.

I got through everything, but after putting in my hl cd key, installing a game seems impossible and no amount of restarts or reboots is making anything give me any sort of visual feedback.

It's still poorly coded. If i select auto update on CS the entire GUI freezes. Would it not be nice to see "could not connect to content server" in the network monitor instead?

Yes, that is my point, it's not that it's slow, it just seems the application HANGS when it doesn't get any data to download, how stupid is that?

GHAHHHHHHKAJJSDLASKJDLKASJD i hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! still doing it over and over. Cant get any sort of response. Instant hang, and "not responding" in task manager.

They seriously need to update the platform or something. Not even the beta gui was this horrid, annoying and unresponsive.
