I think I am surprised a PC game is generating this type of hype I feel bad for anyone who is trying to preload HL2 right now!

The irony is BB and these other retailers breaking contract in an effort to make more money (at the expense of honest retailers mind you) is causing a lot of pre-launch hype.

This is good in one way... I thought the pre-HL2 hype/marketing from VUG was LAME and WEAK. It seems Steam, besides being a good anti-piracy tactic, is beginning to level the playing field + give HL2 more hype. Based on everything we know about HL2 (CS:S, Binks, Reviews, etc...) this hype is well deserved.

apparently here in the us, best buy is selling it early, in all of the stores "most of them anyway, from what i hear" thats ALOT of copies.
