Steam VS Box

If Valve decides to release HL2 via Steam first then 1-2 weeks later via BOX, is this going to change your mind about the purchase and/or will you become really pissed/jealous that some people will have through Steam way before you?

I will.... then again I was getting one copy from steam regardless.
then I would pick up a store copy when it was released.

that way I could play single player (steam offline) while my bro, who doesnt care about sp.. could play the CS:S (he loved CS:S)

I'm quite split on this issue now, Over the last few months I've got alot of confidence in it. Valve just have to BEAT shops. For condition Zero I got it for a mere £12, CZ cost more on Steam.

i was planning on getting a second copy eventually...and while i hadn't considered a Steam purchase seriously, i guess it were the case that the game would release on Steam a week or few days earlier then i guess i'd definitely be getting the first copy off Steam.

but i don't believe it will be available on Steam before u can get in stores.. keyword: believe

I plan to buy off steam as I like the program. (luckily for me its been very reliable) I don't need the extras and I would like for valve to recieve more money from my purchase than a publisher.

I don't know...is HL:source going to come with HL2 over steam? Or will it be a seperate game, or will it be something that only comes in the CE box version? That could be a deal breaker...
