We are already enjoying the pleasures of the Red Orchestra free trial for the next few days, but Valve are also adding some other deals our way.
The special weeklong promotion kicks off with the release of Activision and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Warchest. An incredible value, the CoD: Warchest includes Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2 all for a regular price of just $49.95. But, during WWII Week, CoD: Warchest will be offered for 10% less than the regular price.
Also as well as the free RO weekend, the festival spirit has got the better of Tripwire too!
In addition to the Free Weekend, Tripwire is now offering RO for just $19.95. And those who purchase Red Orchestra before December 14, 2006 will receive an additional 10% savings.
Oh and one more thing, if you are quick...
Finally, Valve is offering 20% off Day of Defeat: Source for those who purchase before December 14, 2006.
That's a impressive WWII week I must say, now is the time to pick up those games you've been waiting to come down in price. Visit www.steamgames.com for more information.

DOD:S is well worth buying, infact all of them are very good games.

Will definatly be playing RO on the trial, loved it last time.

RO and DoD:s are worth the money.

The entire call of duty franchise has never clicked with me. It feels like a whore. Like a filthy diseased prostitute whore. But that's only my opinion.

did steam ever implement the function of giving out a guest trial pass to a friend over steam for a game the user owns?

Damn so many good deals. Going to play some RO in a little. Check out if i like it.

I decided to try RO, but the game crashes to the desktop when ever I try to join a server, or when I try to play a practice game, and I get this message after the crash.

EDIT: I fixed it.

I just want COD to play online, I miss playing COD games online. COD was a blast.

It's currently in beta phase.

There are already two subjects about it in Steam Support desk, so I guess it won't take long 'till they implement it for everybody.

The Steam Support page says that in the beginning, only guest passes will be handed out for DoD: Source.
