I just checked www.steampowered.com and its offline. I am guessing we are reaching the final hour and a half. They will keep their promised time...just don't flame if they are like 2 minutes late. Make sure to synchronize your time to governmental/universal time...not your wierd 5 minutes fast thing.

We've been informed by Valve that the Steam site is under a DoS attack. The client and server packages for Steam will be released as soon as possible, but at the moment it looks like there will be a delay. If things settle down, the SDS (Steam Dedicated Server) will probably be released some time today, with the client following tomorrow. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads-up.

ie some punk ass lamer kids make a trojan that infects other peoples computers and together these infected computers (or zombies) attack the target server by pinging sending packets etc.... f*ck everything up..
