#SteamRoot errors after update.

Close STEAM.

Delete "ClientRegistry.blob"

Restart Steam. It will update and require you to login.

BTW, ClientRegistry.blob is in your Steam program folder(normally C:\Program Files\Steam). Also, be sure to backup your .blob file in case something goes wrong. And this problem doesn't seem to create lack of functionality in Steam(except the settings dialog, but you can just use the arrow keys to change between tabs).
