Steams #$%^ed up

Ive been playing CSS and DoD for about 4 months now and lately my game keeps crashing during the load screen at the "Sending Client Info" part. The game either stays still or the screen breaks into two peices and a bunch of horizontal lines come up. This is so F'ing annoying, this only happens on some maps or some servers i really dont get it. Can anyone give me tips? Ive reinstalled 4 times and i deleted the directory. Plz help

That's your graphics card about the eat the chud.

Try cleaning out fans or getting a better airflow in your case.

dont blame steam for your computer problems; just keep your computer clean in the os and in the case and update drivers and such.

Update your drivers and make sure your power supply is doin good. Validate your files.

btw, this is Cs:S and DoD:S NOT STEAM.
