TF2 and DNF have never had release dates, so I do believe Valve holds the record for most dates missed with HL2 (and HL, and CS:CZ, and almost every Steam update in history, and the SDK, and the binks, and the preloads).

They only wanted to release the things that won't chnage anymore.
Perhaps there is nothing in the game that don't need a change.
So on moday we got everything that won't need anymore changes :E

steam updates are pretty frequent if you ask me.
and the last 4 or so binks weren't promised to us at a certani date. they just got released without warning.

so i;ll forget about when the first binks showed up being opened with hex editors and were late by a week or 3 : )

i think the preload is going to consist of one file, the title of the game. everything else they are redoing.
