Strange dream about a HL2 designer in Doom 3

Yep, I had the oddest dream last night amidst the nastiest headache I've had in ages.

I dreamt I was in the Doom 3 game, giving a tour of the teleportation chamber map to some other player who was apparently a HL2 designer with the name of a French director (sorry, forgot the name). I guess it was Doom 3 because of this, and the visuals had the look of the D3 graphics, and for some reason it was after the demonic assault and everything was in chaos, with noise and blood and everything.

Then the HL2 designer got turned into a zombie right in front of me!

Sometimes I wonder what the significance is, in my own head at least? Do I like HL2, but love showing off D3 even more? And do I sometimes wish the demons would zombify everyone at Valve??

Nah, dreams are mad and crazy and generally don't mean anything. I think of them as free, awesome tv.
 
I once had a dream about seeing a cut-scene from C&C3. It was CABAL's cyborgs breaking into a Nod base and taking it over.

That picture is creepy. As for TaoFan, the part where the designer turns into a zombie right in front of you sounds like the very beginning of Doom3 when that scientist or whatever he is turns into a zombie and starts attacking you. Did you just start a new game? Other than that, I think you just need to take a break from the games for a little while.
 
Funny you should say that, Mr Hym. I haven't actually played Doom 3 in about two months, and it's not even on my system anymore.

Yes, though, the HL2 designer becoming a zombie did look very much like what you described, except I was in the UAC's main teleport chamber at the time.
 
Dreams are something completely subconcious usually about something you havent even been thinking about lately. Strange huh? I hadn't played HL2 in a while and the other night I had a dream that I woke up, and went and ate breakfast with G-man in my kitchen, he told me what he had in his briefcase. Then we watched the Cowboys Game in Hi-Def!

Yeah i get some crazy assed dreams like that sometime .. although i always thought you mainly dreamt on a topic related to what you were doing before you went to sleep.

btw, in the thread you linked to, I would just like tom say that hl2 came out before the new wotw was a thought... and stephen speilburgh made a new alien craft. he said he didn't want ships, and he wanted to have them come from the ground, rather than space... AND DON'T CALL ME RETARDED :|

I had a weird dream last night... i had a dream i was playing HL2: dm against ben stiller and owen wilson... it was odd becuase im sure that neither of them even play the game but it was more odd becuase they werent using the default charaters, it was just them as them in the game... I was pwning them so bad at first.. then they stared to hax and became invinsble... qurees.

I had a dream about ep1 while it wasnt out yet, a mossman character in a purple suit and got headcrabbed in Hl1 graphics... then i teleported to my friends house and played nlue shift on X-box

Pretty weird

20 years ago i used to make the same strange deam, i saw myself burrying at least two people close to my house. That dream was so strong and alarming that many times i almost wanted to dig in that place just to see if...
Now that so much time has passed i still look at that place with a strange feeling, i guess that i really will have to dig in that place to get rid of this stupid dream!
The question is : what will i find there !!!!!!
 
Maybe some people here should play less games ;)...I never had a dream about a game or game-related. Altough I think some elements are filtered in in my dreams.

And dreams are not just random noise on telivision in your head.
It's your subconsience that's trying to organize everything, place it in little places... So mostly there's a reason why you dream a specific dream. Altough it's not about the visuals it's about the abstract message. Like being locked up in your dream means you feel tight up. At school work, at home or in your relationship. Killing someone doens't neceserally mean you want to kill him. It means you want more distance, less emotional attachment. There's mostly an abstract explenation for all your dreams, if you remember them off course.

And for that previous idiot...How to ban yourself in 3 posts ;)
I bet he dreams about being the ruler of the world but he doens't know where the toiletpaper is.
