Yes everyone! I made a typo in one of my previous posts! Ok, now that we are past that i have a question that possibly some of you might enlighten me with...what do the Antialasing and filtering mode do on the game? And what is vertical sync and what will it do if i enable it? Thanx.

Oh....by the way..."STEAM"...woohooo!!! I did it!!!!:dozey:

Nah, i've decided to go screw myself so I wont tell you.

it makes it so the fps never goes above your monitors refresh rate or u will get tearing this is prob. only needed on high end cards

well...i have an nVid. 6800 ultra, 2.2 ghz processor...so i suppose i should turn Vertical Sync on then...right?

It is my opinion that you say bugger all to the vsync and ship the 6800 directly to me asap.

Why on earth did you make another thread for this? The other one was still good.

Oh well.

Just to let you know, enable AA and you'll take a MAJOR performance hit.

Any chance you could get a better processor? Because the one you have is bottlenecking your vid card. Allot.

It was the highest performance processor that game with the XGen 2...i wish i had gotten alienware, but anyway...where and how much could i get a higer end graphics card? Oh, and it is a laptop if that is any difference.

Well, what kind of processor is it? If it's an AMD, prefferably A64 then you've got no problems, and you most likely have the 3500+ (a very awesome processor).

uhhhh....wow...i need english...but i'll try to respond to that. Its a Pentium M, 2.0 ghz processor...1 gig ram, and...hmmm...can you tell me how to find out if it IS those things you said?

No need to say any more. By what you said, I already know that it isn't.

AMD is another processor manufacturer, directly competing with Intel. Their processors are generaly much better for gaming. The A64 (or Athlon 64) is their newest line of processors.

Anyway, you've still got a fairly good processor there. The Pentium M's are one of the best processors you can get for laptop gaming.

I'd still see if you could get something a little faster though.

Alrite...where would i be able to buy something that is? And how far is it gonna reach into my wallet?

Seeing as you don't really understand what sockets and the likes are, i'd say just stick with your current processor :P

Lol...sounds good..***ns like a champ already...its only supposed to be my "college computer" anyway...
