Strider!.....Gun!!!

It just struck me that the launcher gun which vaporises people is the gun the striders' use!

Here why:

- The striders have a weapon with two forms of fire, machine gun and vaporise.
- One of the guns you use vaporises.
- In the E32004 vids some guys fighting the strider use a similar looking gun to yours to fire machine gun fire.
- This gun (or derivations thereof) are therefore capable of firing machinegun and vaporise.
- This gun is the same as the strider weapon.
- This gun may be a vaporise with machine gun alternate fire.


Let the flaming commence!!!

:dozey: By the looks the "vaporise gun" is the I-Rifle(what they have been calling it) it could be a scaled down version of the Striders vaporise stuff. Look at the Striders underside, it's so freakin big it looks like its penis. Obviously it's too unrealistic if Gordon were to be able to carry a weapon that's like 15 feet long.

The Striders Vaporizer thingy is that big "penis" cannon.
The machine gun doesn't fire out of there, that's impossible. It fires out of a seperate gun right above it.

my speculation as the i part of the i rifle is the incendiary rifle.

We know the I in I- Rifle is incendiary, hope you know that icendiary is shorten to I in I- Rifle.

In any case, the Strider's machine gun is mounted a little higher, on it's 'nose'.

:naughty: Well before I guess it shot out like this metallic object, it would set the enemy on fire. But, in the new E3 2004 video they show off the same gun, but this time it shot some sort of evaporator energy at the enemies.

Yes, I think its pretty clear that the I-rifle and the Striders vapourising gun are related in some way. Perhaps its strength its also its weakness, in that the I-rifle is the only thing to take down (or vapourise) a strider.

To clarify, because I'm anal like that, a Strider's energy weapon appears to be attatched to its highly-flexible abdomen, rather like a stinger of some sort, and its machine gun is a separate weapon which appears to be mounted on a ball-turret-like "head", at the front of the carapace, just like on the Gunship... Yes?

The strider and the gunship both use alien made plasma weapons. *assumed*
Why do all the combine use human made weapons?
OICW Rifle, Mp7, SPAS shotty, STUN STICKS(this may be alien i dunno yet).
