I really like the idea for it...but I think the ground could use a little work. Also, maybe try editing a few of the striders so they don't look all exactly the same. Other than that, it looks awesome. Great job.

all the striders are in the exact same stance, it makes it look unrealistic (not that giant machines walking around on stilts is very realistic)

Speaking of striders...anyone know which video has the guy being impailed by a strider. Or did I imagine that? I need to look at that for reference for my art contest entry .

I believe 'barricade' ends with the strider. Nice job Vidrio! But like they said, they're all the same.

You could try ripping one out of the vid.

Also, try doing a gradient from black at the bottom of the strider to a VERY dark grey at the top. With a sunset/sunrise, stuff high up will be better lit. So just grey them veryyyyyy slightly.

yes there all the same, I could have done a better job if hl2 had been released... I didnt really want to mess around with there legs cause, I did try.. and... it looked pap .. so.. an artist works with what he has.

and yes the guy being impaled is on the hl2-striders video, I tried stealing one of there but .. it still sucks ... anyway .. I will make a new one when the game is released ... that was simply a 10minute job

Try to blur the strider right in front of the camera, and maybe some others to a lesser degree to simulate a camera lense focus.

And lower the contrast of the striders a bit and add a little bit of colour and some grain filters, it's too obvious they have been pasted in.

But it's a nice picture

Best one yet! Mainly because during sunset, there is still light, but only on the side facing the sun, so you get a black shape with lit egdes which fade. ^^

I really like the idea, and Fenric's (as usual) is one of the best.

I'd desktop it but I'd have problems staring at the sun. It's too bright for me.

EDIT: On second thought, I will use it as a background. It's just that good. Not to take anything away from the original of course.
