This a courtesy warning to all people previewing thread, MAY BE CONSIDERED A SPOILER!!
















Striders on Easy need 3 Direct RPG hits, Normal need 5, and on Hard it takes 7 direct RPG hits. That is all...
 
Well, the TITLE is kind of a freakin' spoiler, asshole.
 
Are the two books released by valve the ultimate bible for spoilers?

Heck - they've written done everything, and bad time to release it too.

Got Raising the Bar today, and it was very nearly bereft of spoilers. There are still large portions of the game that I'm not sure about.
 
The title is the spoiler not what you have grayed out. I already knew because i have the strat guide. I could totally ruin the game for you if I wanted to right now. Tell you the ending/ tell you anything.

Lol that would suck for you wouldn't it? (it would for me to because I didn't read the strat guide ending or even that much of the strat guide)
 
Try to use some common sense when posting spoilers please :)

I'm glad I haven't bought the strat guide yet, I wouldn't be able to keep me from reading it cover to cover. =)
 
come on sniffy, it was always obvious that striders can be killed

It also says; Note that the pulse rifle secondary fire orb attacks, grenades and smg grenades count as half a direct hit for damage calculation.

So basically, shooting it with normal bullets does nothing.
 
Another thing - can everyone stop sniping each other with the verbal abuse. It's not necessary.
 
i hate seeing that increasing the difficulty level just means the enemies take more damage.
 
Not to sound swarmy, but that's one of the ways of making a game harder.
 
It doesnt just mean the damage goes up - it obviously means their ai difficulty is raised too - making it harder to land a shot.
 
Or in this case, lets them run away to fight another day...
 
The Striders look fantastic. I cant wait to blow one up. The Source engine will make it look very sexy.

Invincible to bullets? Sp theryr like the garg, they can ownly be killed by explosive weapons?

Im pretty sure there is anotherway, I can see myself making some kind of Physics trap, like a tower of objects, then just bombarding the bloody hell out of it, if all else fails, ill do some modding and throw a car at it.

Im positive the thing CAN be hurt by a very weighted object, it would defeat the purpose otherwise if you ran out of ammo for example.
