Stuck at ellevator at Black Mesa East...

Hey,

I got 1 day HL2 now, and it is great..
Except I'm stuck now

I git with my nice boat at Black Mesa East, I go into a building, got smoked out and scanned..
After that a nice girl leads me to an ellavtor, ellavator comes up and doors open..
I got into the ellevator, and nothing happens...
I cannot push any buttons, she doens't walk with me into the ellavator...

What to do?

It is a legal version...
Loading prevous versions does not solve te problem...

If you are where I think you are I think the nice lady (Mossman) should let you through, just follow her. I have heard other reports the game sticks in the same place, haven't heard of any fixes except to start the game over. I have had no bugs except for two Alex's once.

I had this same problem the second time i played through. i tried loading previous games and starting a new game from the chapter "black mesa east". i tried noclipping through the elevator but i couldnt get the next scripted sequene to work. so, i just skipped to the next level usind changelevel d1_eli_02 (or whatever the map name was)

but because this is your first time through i would hat to have you skip part of the game

Well this happened to me too, try different things before going into the room, like dont even follow her, or jump up and down.
I know it's stupid, but after a few tries it worked for me

Are you sure you hasen't smoked some weet before you tried it?

OK, lots of people have come across this problem, and contrary to popular belief that you have a pirated game, it's actually because the AI fails to continue.

In order to resolve this issue:
Follow Dr Mossman to the lift, and IMMEDIATELY after she finishes talking, perform a QUICKSAVE (F6). Once you restart from your quicksave you should find that she will walk into the lift.. follow her and continue gaming!!
