Stuck at "forcefield" wall...cable running to tank

I just drove my buggy along the cliffs to where you first encounter those gravity mines/balls that stick to ya. Came up on a blue energy wall that I can't go through but can walk around the side by foot. Some guards and a tank with a wire running from it to the power lines and over to the energy wall. NO clue how to cut that wall off and I've tried everything. Figured I could use a gravity mine to kill it but either that's not the answer or I'm doing something wrong.

Follow to power lines to a Combine APC. Remove the wheel chocs or just use the manipulator to blast it loose and the cord attached to it will come off and the force field will go down.

First time I did this part, though, I kicked the buggy around the side of the barrier by using the gravity gun. You need to be careful doing this, though, as it can go very wrong.

You can also have some fun with the petrol station. Shoot at em. They blow up good!

Thanks...those were quick replies. I hate asking for help because I like the challenge but I've wasted half an hour of my short night trying to get past that part. Ughhhhhh.....
