Stuck at Highway 17

Im at the part where the bridge is destroyed after you kill the ship thing. I cant find a way across!! :sniper:
Please help

When you say bridge which are you referring to? I can't quite recall a blown-up bridge in that chapter...

Is it the broken bridge just after the Crane? If it is then you have to hit Turbo (Default <shift>) to jump it.

There are 2 broken bridges you have to turbo, One just after you get the buggy, the second after you've used the crane to lift the buggy off the beach..

If it isnt those 2 is it the railway bridge? There you have to find the door by the base of the bridge, and get to the other side from underneath, wipe out all the Combine

Or is it the Bridge blocked by the force Field?....this again is another go by foot and kill everything situation.

If it isnt any of these, check for alternate routes(usually right next to the blockage)....sometimes the road is blocked and you have to get back on the beach again

I know what hes talking about. The whole fiasca with that jumping and crawling maze, underneathe the bridge right? The airship then comes, you destroy it, it destroys a lower sector/room of the bridge?

If you are stuck there, then you forgot to shoot the supression shield switch, which is at the end of the bridge...also I believe you have to press a red button too.

hey

After you have gone under the bridge and took down the forcefield in the room remember to use the switch next to the plug point.

Otherwise you will do somthing silly like go all the way back to only find the railway forcefield is still up...

I'd have to agree. The bridge area is probably one of the most scenic (so far).

I have been stuck on the bridge for some time now, I am in a room and there is this damn plug I can't get to plug in. I see there is a crane outside and I am thinking this plug has to be put into the outlet in order to go on. Can't seem to get past this one, first time I have been stuck! HELP!!

The next 2 reloads were due to general crapness, though.

Actually, every time I go through that part(including the first time lol) I use the turbo to go forward and quickly swerve left out of it's way. Much more exciting(and realistic, since Gordon wouldn't be expecting it).

Awesome technique! I didn't know you could do that. I'll have to try it next time through.

Strange. When I spun around and got out of the way I got a mission failed screen. So I had to outrun the train.
