stuck at the barricade

Im on the Anticitizen one level and cant get past the barricade,ive killed everything and have been wandering for hours trying to find a way.
Please help its driving me nuts

If it's the part where the combine keep coming out from the apartment behind the barricade and they go down a ladder and start shooting... look straight at the barricade, and to the left is either a doorway leading into the building or a doorway into the barricade itself (I forget which).
