Stuck early on in Ravenhold - Electricity

Just got into Ravenholm, been through a buidling, and solved basic puzzle whereby I had to turn the gas/flames off to go down an alley.

Am now at a dead end where there is a small electricity substation/transformer with a corpse sparking on it's fence. I can see a ladder in front of me but it's got electricty running through it.

Have looked everywhere for a switch to turn off the power, even tried cutting the cables above my head with a saw blade but no joy....

Any ideas? Am sure it's obvious once it's been solved ;-)

Hi,

You have to walk back to the pile of dead bodies, where the big fire is.
On the left side of the fire there is a gas tanks which you have to turn OFF.

Than you can enter the building, and go up the stairs........

Thanks! Did turn that gas off but never spotted a doorway, will check again tonight.

I got stuck there too, then solved it then completed the game.

I replayed the game from the start and got stuck there again as I'd forgotten how I'd solved it the first time. :E
