stuck in Nova Prospekt

Can't get the curtain down and continue.
There is this dead alien in a chair and a plug next to it. In the adjourning room are three fuses, one of them is active and sparkling. Anyone knows how to continue?

press use, on the green one, the gate will open.

my deepest apology for being in the wrong forum.
btw I have pressed 'use' on the fuse dozens of times, but the curtain doesn't come down.

Have you tried putting the plug in, like you did when teleporting Alyx?
