stuck in sewer with helicopter

Im at the spot where you are stuck in the sewer thing, being attacked by a helicopter, i have ran around, up the ramp, and there is a white..(piece of sideing?) that is blocking my path, i figured i would just jump around it, but i have tried that 20 times and it doesnt seem to work, there are 2 sewer gates below but i cant seem to get thru those, idk where else to go.
