Stuck in Water Hazard

I have reached a point where I am in the boat and have come to the end of the water and there is aoms ekind of bridge which is hinged in the middle and I am unable to jump onto it

The other side of the bridge is another pool. The other side of the pol is some toxic stuff.

Myguess is that I need to somehow get the bridge to unhinge and there are some blue barrels but not sure how thi sfits in

Any ideas

swim into the pool of water, there is a cage underneath the edge of the bridge. You have to pick up the barrels (press E, it works underwater too) and put 2-3 of them in the cage. There's already one in there. After you put them in, their pressure will make the bridge go up and you can jump across it.

You get more barrels from high up by going around and up inside the pipe and collecting them.
