Stuck near the end of the game: chapter 14

I'm at the top, and I don't know what I'm suppose to be shooting at. I shoot the orange things at the orb that Breen is in, but nothing happens. And I also remove the metal parts from the flaps so, the flaps are down, and I'm also shooting at something inside of the tower where pieces fall off little by little, but I still end up failing the mission. What am I doing wrong?

Nevermind...I got it. Whew, that took some time. Hate to say it, but I'm a little disappointed with the ending. It was a good play though
