How do I kill it. I've just kept on shooting it but it wont die. the only thing that worked so far was rockets and grenades...Help?

There's a path you have to follow that kind of winds around the "stupid four legged thing" (it's called a Strider, by the way ). Eventually you end up at a point with a bunch of rockets. You'll know it when you're there.

I love that we got 4 new enemies in this episode : the Zombadicky, the dickarydoo, Advadaroo and the stellarbebings. and i think those floating thingymabobbers are really cool.

Yeah now there's a point... It's pretty darn impossible to have played HL2 to the end and not know how to kill a strider... And if you didn't play it to the end, then what's the point in playing Ep1???

I didn't realize they actually did sell copies to non-HL2 owners--now the standalone aspect makes sense.

Well, I can see you never played the first two games... which is very sad and unfortunate for you.

I can see why you'd play this first--it's cheaper, so more people might be willing to give it a shot.

But... But... It's starting that the 3rd page of a 5-part trilogy of books... You're missing so much vital information! Such as "What is that big thing called?" and "What is the standard procedure for dealing with bosses when you haven't yet found that guarunteed cache of unlimited rockets surrounded by plenty of cover in this linear game that only ever gives me one direction to head in?"
