ok, im REALLY sorry, i know this is the wrong forum, but i couldnt think of something better, feel free to move it mods if you have a better idea (there is no opfor forum)

ok, im stuck on opposing force, its my first time playing it, and i am on xen, when i use the displacer gun, according to this guy i talked to it will teliport me to the next level, but when i click the fire button it launches a portal, that makes me die (with lots of gib) when i touch it, and secondary fire does nothing (makes a little bzzzt sound, like when you touch a locked foor)

Hmm, could you be more descriptive? Perhaps post a screenshot? There must be something you can do.

If all else fails, noclip.

You must enable cheats, with the following command:
sv_cheats 01

You must reload the map for it to take effect as well.

Noclip is 'noclip'.
Godmode is 'god'.
All weapons is 'impulse 101'.
Invisible to enemies is 'notarget'.

And, I love using that teleporter, like when you appear in the training room! CLASSIC!

when it "clicks" 2ndary fire, that means that either you are out of/too low on ammo, or you aren't standing in a spot where it can create a teleport for you.

it doesnt "click" like the "out of ammo" sound, it makes a BZZUT" sound, like when you walk into a door that is locked...

what areas can teliport you?

It means you don't have enough ammo for secondary fire. You need more ammo for secondary fire. Tee Hee.

I'm sure you can teleport on that Xen level, so you must have run out of ammo. I think you need 60 cells to teleport (you HUD only shows 40).

You don't need to teleport to progress, but you would be missing out on something if you didn't . So "impulse 101" yourself the ammo (careful, it will also give you all weapons which could potentially be a spoiler), or load an earlier save before you wasted the cells (probably when you were trying the primary fire out).

Some maps can (most of them), others can't. After a while it gets a little repetitive though (you will see what I mean).
