I have just made a door, it works fine with no problems. I followed the spec numbers off of the dev_doortemplate1 and thats fine. The problem I am having with it is I am unable to get the texture of a door on the door correctly. It applies it all wrong, half a door texture on teh bottom, half a door texture on the top, frame texture all out of wack. How do I apply the texture to my door correctly?

Use the texture application. Shift+A or tools>texture application.

After that click on a side of the door and use the scale and shifts to line it up. You can also change the texture from there too.

use the 'toggle texture application' - its the cube with three different textures - you can change the texture on each face individually if you select the tool first and then the face or you can change the whole brush by selecting your block and then the tool...

After that just shift the texture around or change the scale until you're happy with it...

Well I hope you've found the texture application tool--otherwise you might want to review the most basic of tuts on texturing. Woudl be quicker than waiting on a response.

if you are using the same texture broken across two faces... Select both faces (hold CTRL down as you click) then check the box in the texture application that says TREAT AS ONE, then use the FIT button.

One thing epecially with angled objects, you may have to play with the WORLD and FACE check boxes to find the correct alignment.
