I have absolutely no sympathy for the stupid. IN fact it's quite the opposite. I'm sad that both of his friends weren't killed. People who streetrace, are in gangs doing drivebys and such, criminals in general, do not deserve to live. Period. Anitsocial behaviour should be punishable by death.

I never said gangsters are doing the streetracing. Try to read. I said streetracers, gangsters doing drivebys or criminals in general. I didnt say they were all the same but that criminals in general should be executed. And by criminals, I thought you would gather by the examples of criminals I used that you would gather I was referring to sociopathic criminals, ie: those that dont value the lives of others, thus your M&M thief does not fall into this category (although thieves should get a limb amputated or something). Thus, in my opinion, anyone who harms or by action could cause harm to another human being (or animal) should be executed.

I have very little sympathy with someone who chooses to race on public roads.

I'd be very interested to know where in Bury it happened (I know the area quite well), and what cars were involved?

I own a high performance sports car, never would I dream of racing on a public road, it just isn't worth it. Stick to driving fast over country lanes with excellent visibility, or caning up a slip-road for a thrill, not driving around a busy town at speed.

Hopefully the only good thing that will come of this is that others will think twice before deciding they're Nigel Mansell the 2nd.

Is that it? Pilsworth Road is a mostly long straight single-carriageway road that heads up to a motorway. It has a twisty bit near some traffic lights, before heading to a blind crest (a mini roundabout is there), then a long steep straight descent (through a residential area) that bottoms out and then ascends to a sweeping left hand bend, before you get to a few roundabouts and a cinema/food complex.

It continues under the motorway, mostly farmland, and into an industrial complex. Visibility is very poor, I know because I've driven it a few times.

Basically, if he was racing on that road, he was being a twat. Sorry. But then again, it might be someone else.
