Anyone here share my dislike of the summer? With me its all too much free time, sneezing and itchy eyes, stupidly warm weather that stops you doing anything and stops you from merely sleeping at night and longer days which to me I find disconcerting, especially when its 11pm at night at its still light, that's just weird. I also do NOT suite summer wear, but its almost essential to wear in such temperatures. Its all a pain in the arse if you ask me.

I dislike all extremities in seasons - I hate the sweltering, sticky days of summer if I'm not at the beach, and I hate the bitter, drizzling days of winter if I have to be out and about. Our winter so far has been very nice, however - going for walks or photography missions at 3 am with friends, smoking (all sorts of stuff) in the freezing cold but with scarves and gloves and overcoats, is absolutely lovely.

My ceiling fan has the speed of a goddamn jet engine. I recommend boxer shorts too.

Dude, stop your bitching. Enjoy it while you still can. Im up at this time only because I can't sleep so I'm trying to get some work done, but no matter what I gotta get my ass up at 6 in the morning because of my job. Gonna be hung over as shit tomorrow. And you're here bitching about having too much free time. boo-****ing hoo

Only thing i dont like about summer is the heat, i ****ing hate warm weather.

yeah try working 40 hrs and every day off it being rainy and having to do meaningless jobs around the house and fixing this or that with your free time. Enjoy it, try something new, drive somewhere new. Meet new people, become a better friend to someone you like, etc. I'd kill for one extra day off of work every week. On my vacation, I'm going to be able to get a car inspection possibly on time, fix my tires, and help my folks do shit around the house.

One thing ive always wondered about australia, do you actually have the names of the season reversed? Like, when its Summer everywhere else, do you literally call it "Winter" in your country? Or do you just say its a very very cold summer?

When Winter comes along, do you call it summer? Or a very very hot winter?

Ugh, this. I like summer if only because it's still light when I leave work at 7. I miss the summers of college. :C

Bafflingly stupid post of the month award

I hate summer too.

I love winter. I hate every other season for a variety of reasons, but the common reason being: "Any temperature above 5 ~ 10C is too high"

Um.

Wow.

Maybe instead of mocking his intellect, perhaps you could actually answer his question?

When it's summer on the northern hemisphere, it's winter on the southern one. And it's not a cold summer. It's not called summer. It's called winter.

Summer's fine... all the lakes and rivers that are usually too cold to swim in are tolerable during this time and the high-mountain bike trails are cleared of snow. The bats are starting to come out too and put a dent in the mosquitos. Go bats!

Now was that so goddamned hard? Sure it's a stupid question, but if everyone mocked people for asking stupid questions humanity wouldn't learn anything, would we?

No offense meant.

I hate you people.

Come on, it's Australia. Do you expect me to believe they're normal?

That's a fair crack of the ol' whip there, coppa', if you weren't blueing around with the piss I'd think you were a sheep short of a NZ shag.

How about you define normal, mate.

Living on the Northern Hemisphere. :p

Also, what?

Im laughing so ****ing hard right now. I was totally serious when i made that post, but i didnt realize untill after how stupid it was. Let me take a moment to explain myself:

I have always related the seasons with TIME and DATES, not by climate and temperature. Like this:

Seconds, Minutes, Hours, Days, Weeks, Months, Seasons, Years

I have always believed the seasons were just a 1/4th of a year. Like this:

Im Ravioli, your arguments are invalid.

Yeah, thanks a lot for making me confused.

Do people actually say that? Because that's ****ing magical
See I'm trying to picture sheep shagging without the sheep and all I'm getting is smearing feces on my penis to simulate the experience.

It's just not the same. :(

summer is ****ing awesome, but then i'm living in falmouth so yah-boo to folk living up the middle of the country or in a city. i cannot imagine being in wolverhampton, b'ham, london... anywhere like that right now

that said it's raining today, but otherwise it's been great so far. bbq's, beach, swimming, chillin'... and hopefully it's all going to get so much better when i move into my house today and onwards

hehe you northen hemisphere people whit your template climate hehe

is true that sometimes it does get hot but I can resist it,I feel powerfull hehehehe

*<RJMC> laughs and spread sweat all over*

well except when winter comes.....

I hate summers, I always get a headache from the heat and can't concentrate on anything, even more heat because my room is the attic room.
I'm thinking of moving my PC downstairs during this summer holiday.

I don't like winters either, spring/fall are the shit.

I'm a fall man myself. Love the the great colours on the trees, and the nice, frosty mornings and cool temperatures. Winter on the other hand it starts to get more on extreme. Sometimes last winter it was just ridiculously cold, can't win.

I used to love summer, but now it's way too hot. If only it would go back to how it was over a decade ago... :(

Also over here fall and spring are now almost nonexistent. It's instant summer, followed by instant winter. Some years we have spring, and fall that last a few weeks tops.

You're all dumb. Summer always kicks ass.

In the summer time I'm always freezing, in the winter time I'm always blistering hot, due to the preferences of my family and their need to run the AC full blast in summer and heater full blast in winter.
