Sunshine Trailer. WOW!

are you hyped by that?
that trailer was kind of anoying

Fifty years from now, the sun is dying, and mankind is dying with it. Our last hope: a spaceship and a crew of eight men and women. They carry a device which will breathe new life into the star. But deep into their voyage, out of radio contact with Earth, their mission is starting to unravel. There is an accident, a fatal mistake, and a distress beacon from a spaceship that disappeared seven years earlier. Soon the crew is fighting not only for their lives, but their sanity.

so is a copy of armagedon but whit the sun?

Yes it looks very interesting to me.

interesting.

The sun won't fizzle out for another 5 billion years, and the likelyhood humans will be around by then are slim. Even still, "re-igniting" the sun would require extreme amounts of hydrogen that they couldn't get without stealing it from another star.

They might also use fission to split the helium and other large atoms in the sun into hydrogen, but that would require more energy than the sun itself outputs.

No it's not interesting. Plus the background music made me LOL because I've heard it so many times on GMOD flicks:LOL:

It's good. I seen it. I even saw it sans effects so I can't wait now. :E

Every movie looks interesting to you.

This either can be a hit or miss since Danny Boyle is directing it.

Im sick of explaining myself about how i post about movies and games.

If you dont get it by now. You never will.

Where, did you see it?

Its his directing credit that makes me interesting, plus the trailer shows off a lot of stuff I wouldn't expect in an Armageddon ripoff.

Oh, god, the music.

The trailer looks better than I'd have expected.

It looks like there plan fails miserably though, if they were planning to survive and bring their spaceship back.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Plus it looks dreadful.
I intend to go to this film with a megaphone and point out the many scientific inaccuracies as they arise.

And then people will shout "we f*cking know! STFU because we dont care!"

Its going to be a standard action flick with high budget effects. Nothing more or less.

Alright, this definitely has some potential. I'd be willing to suspend disbelief if the movie has a good story and characters.

Also, Cilian Murphy rocks, so it has that going for it.

Um, you have no idea what you're talking about. This isn't Michael Bay bullshit. This is Danny Boyle and Alex Garland. Excuse the overused Requiem for a Dream music and way the trailer is shaped. That's just how they always make trailers. This isn't just Armageddon 2.

Argh. I refuse to see any movie that used the Requiem For a Dream theme in a trailer.

It's like someone took Solaris and Armageddon and violently smushed them together.

i.e. this has potential, but....stupid potential.

...?

Well the trailer sure as heck doesn't really let you know whats going on. Oh sure, theres the sun thing but clearly theres more to this.

I don't know. Silly premise, but it's from Boyle so it could be good.

Looks stupid from the trailer, but I usually end up liking movies most poeple here hate or think is stupid.

The premise is silly as hell, has a lot more in common with "The Core" than armageddon. I mean, the sun dies 50 years from now?? Suure. Although it was never explained why women became infertile in Children of Men but I enjoyed it nonetheless, mainly because of the acting and the camerawork. And I've like Danny Boyle?s previous movies so yeah... :S we'll see.

Trailer made me lol....

Stupid premise: -5
Likeness to Armageddon/The Core: - 20
LOTR music: -10
Something called Icarus 2: -10
Shots of every single crew member dieing (why bother seeing the movie?): - 20

Dan Boyle: + 100

Total: ???

Eventually.

ROFL!

And I dont care if whatshisface is doing it. It doesnt look to be anything unique at all, and has a dumb plot.

Im not saying its going to be bad...

I will probably go see it, and probably enjoy it. But it wont be special.
