I've not saw a post on this and a search turned up nothing.

I've saw people ask about the duration of the pulse gun alt fire mode, well there is a command that can make it carry on for ages, goto the console and type

sk_weapon_ar2_altfire_duration #

Im not sure if thats the right wording on it but typing sk_weapon_ar2 should bring up 3 results. Set the number to 90000 or something higher (-1 or 0 might make it go on forever but its best to set it so it will run out eventually)

The orb will now bounce around for however long you set the digits for (in seconds I think)

Really good fun in a small room with lots of enemies and objects, especially with 8 or 9 orbs at a time. You might also want to use:

sk_max_ar2_altfire 30

Now when you impulse 101 you can get more ammo for the weapon, the joys of having 30 bouncing around a small chimney stack cannot be measured, total mayhem and total fun. Reminds me a bit of that bouncey orb thing in Men in Black that totals everything in its path. Note you can also catch them with the zero point and place them in enemies for instant kill on release.

Have fun, hopefully this will lead to some more funny movies.

Also, changing the radius only seems to affect it when it explodes, i was hoping that the entire map population could be taken out with one round but nope :(

I put it in my autoexec.cfg too
 
Nope I paste it in console and it says the commands dont exist.

If I do sk_weapon bla bla, they come up, I think theyre diffrent.
 
i was able to do it. i set them for 80 seconds

80 seconds of fun

its best to use them somewhere where the sky cannot be seen, cause if they bounce upwards and hit the roof of the map, they explode as if they ran out of time
 
I think it was me who was asking about this, in the editing thread...

By the way, its:

sk_weapon_ar2_alt_fire_duration

I believe. The original poster left out the underscore between alt and fire.
 
Tried this in the trainstation. One energy ball took out all the guards in that food room...
 
Yeah. its awesome. I spawned 60 of them in a small/medium sized room, and the performance dip was pretty much un-noticable. It looks awesome in motion! But the sounds are incredibly annoying. LOL

Yep, sorry about missing the underscore, I wasn't at home at the time of writing so I couldn't double check. All we need now is a command to enable Friendly Fire and party can really begin.
