i like the captain obvious idea - although i could be very annoying throughout the night..."Look - it's a lamppost"!

Also - does Samurai Jack count as a Superhero...if only...

OK my college has this themed night of a "Superheroes Ball". Its for "Rag Week" which is something like the stereotypical spring break we hear so much about...

Anyways Im hoping for suggestions on what to go as - avoiding the usual Spiderman, Superman and Batman. I also know a guy goin as one of the Incredibles so thats out.

The best I have is Captain America. Any suggestions are great - better even if you can post links to pics or sound files...cheers all!!!

Go as superwomen, gives you a reason to wear g-strings on the outside of your suit ....

Okay, she wears briefs as well, but it would of been funny

The Thing, go as The Thing
I can't think of a more terrifying costume apart from going as Cher.
Go as Cher.

Go as Spaceman Spiff, of Calvin and Hobbes fame.

Last time I went to a fancy dress party, I went as Edward Scissorhands - I looked f*cking amazing, although I do say so myself.
And I do.

The Thing is not a bad idea, just wrap yourself with some weird stuff and sprey it an orange/red-ish tone and you're set :p (don't forget the tentacles!)

I was gonna say - hope you are in pretty good shape to wear a super hero outfit. Being captain america with a beer belly is kind of embarassing.

But Captain America was my first choice as a Super Hero. If you can find the costume. Hes not a cliche, but still well known enough so people wont go wtf are you?

Or Robocop - now theres a hero. May not be practical to get the costume, look a little cheap to have tinfoil on your head saying "Stay out of Trouble'
