Hey guys. Well, what a bummer eh? It's delayed. I think we all knew it would be deep down. I did anyway.
First of all I'm going to apologise for making this thread as I'm sure you're all (that includes me) are fed up of hearing about the delay.
There's been a lot of anger directed towards Valve for their decision to delay Half-Life 2, and the fact that it seems they deliberately kept us in the dark for so long before they said anything. Along with that anger seems to be a lot of hate.
Just last week I sent an e-mail to Gabe telling him that no matter what happened we'd support Valve. In the same e-mail I was telling him how I thought it was really bad that people didn't have faith, and didn't trust their word, so in a way I've been sort of made to look stupid. But forgetting that and going back to my original point, Gabe and the team should still be supported. They shouldn't get e-mails from angry fans, they shouldn't have to see us squabbling over who's right and who's wrong, instead they should see a fan base that is supporting them and supporting others and I think we should start that today. Right here, right now.
I know they aren't the most reliable company in the world when it comes to releases, but if you look at everything they've done for us and our entertainment then you can see why we should show them our support. They provided us with a game that spawned many other games, and in some form or another, whether it be HL SP, DM, TP, The Specialists, Counter-Strike, DOD, TFC, Firearms, Sven Co-Op etc. we all still enjoy something that was originally from the hands of Valve. They're now trying to do the same, bigger and better and ok, it's been bumpy up until now but they're still working for us, and working with us, to keep us busy for the next five years. They're answering our questions, improving our current gaming lives and games, and also still trying to make that sequel and for that, Valve gets a big thumbs up from me.
It's a bit "old" now, it's been done before, but I think Valve should know that we're still supporting them, and if you'd like to do that, please post your message of support here and I'll e-mail them to Valve Software once there's a good few comments.
 Go on Valve. We're right behind you all the way.
