Another year, another update for the Half-Life mod Sven Co-op. The team has released a new map called "Quarter", added some new high definition player models, and squashed some bugs. Here's a concise changelog:
You can grab the download link here, but note that you do need Half-Life (not Half-Life: Source) to play. Also, if you send a donation online, your Steam account will get hooked up with all the Sven Co-op bonus feature content now and into the future.
The developers of Sven Co-op say that their upcoming version, 5.0, is "going to be a major stepping stone for the mod, and there are some very exciting improvements to the mod in the works." So stay tuned!
- New map: Quarter. In this map, the players must prevent a base from being overrun by enemies. Failing to defend an area forces the players to retreat further back into new areas.
- Improved sentence handling: NPC's now use more sentences, mappers can specify their own sentences, and other improvements
- Linux server binary now included
- Spawn points are now randomly selected with no spawn fragging
- New High-Definition remakes of HLDM player models
