SWAT 4 installation problem

My brother got SWAT 4 for Christmas, but he can't install it (we're using the same PC BTW). The installation process goes fine, the files are written on the HDD, until it finishes copying the game files and "publishes product info" (something like that). At this point it wipes everything it just installed and I get a message (not exact; translating here): "Installation ended with a SUCCESS. Installation was interrupted before finishing (...)"

WTF? Help. Thx.

EDIT: BTW, this game was once installed on my PC and ran fine (it wasn't exactly a legal version, though *cough*)

Turns out that was a conflict with Service Pack 2. I had to uninstall it, install the game and then install SP2 again.

A word of advice - when installing SP2 and the installation app says that it finished and will require a system restart - you have to wait. I clicked OK and nothing happened for like 10 seconds, so I restarted the PC on my own and then had some fun fixing the BSoD I was getting upon Windows boot.
