Black Mesa's a BIG mod, and half-life's a REALLY long game. I dont expext it to be out for another few years.

Yeh buts there's really no reason they can't release it episodically, it is a single player game after all. They could release the first couple of levels as a demo. Mods that release everything in one big go usually end up being crap because of lack of community input - eg. FH2.
