How do I do that?Bobcat said:The game's too old, try running it in compatability mode...
Ok, I am going to play this co-op with my brother on the same network, it is possible right?Pi Mu Rho said:There's parts in other locations later on.
Also, the classes don't really make that much difference in the long run.

Have it patched with the latest version (which you probably have if you have the multiplayer menu). Know the ip addresses of your server machine... pray (My friends managed to crash our game by jumping through the bulkheads too much.). Also, the first section isn't multiplayer - the skill selection bit is played solo. Though you can talk to other players, they're not physically there.Foxtrot said:I can't make a ****ing multiplayer game. I am using this hamachi program too so it should work. What do I need to do to get this to work?
The game is working fine I just can't connect to my brothers game and he cant connect to mine. He started 2 copies of the game and he could have 1 copy connect to the other but that is as close as we have been.Adabiviak said:Dang - I've been hearing good things about System Shock 2 and was hoping you'd shed a little light on that. That's a tough fix, especially for a game that old. Is the game not working or just the multiplayer?
Any idea where? I've wanted to play this forever, just never got around to picking it upB-MAn said:System Shock 2 is abandonware now by the way, you can download it legally free
But isn't abandonware illegal?
Unfortunately, yes. Despite the fact that publishers no longer derive revenues from these games since they have stopped selling them (and any revenues from retailers that still sell them were gained a long time ago, at the time of sales), it is illegal to distribute them so long as copyright holders have not released them into the public domain, and 95 years after the games' release have not elapsed.
I can't find any info anywhere about this game, so I have just tried everything. I had some program found out what ports it uses, and I enabled all of them.Raxxman said:okay have you checked what settings you need for the game IE if it needs IPX networking, And your firewall settings?
sorry it's late and I've spent all night fuppin around with our wireless, that's the best I can do atm
I tried that alreadySomefool said:SS2 Multi require the following ports to be opened
* UDP ports 2300 through 2400
* TCP ports 2300 through 2400
* TCP port 47624
* UDP port 47624
* UDP ports 28800 through 28900
After that just host a game, if you are on LAN, you can use aim to get your computer's IP. You can do this by opening an instant message window>right click>insert>IP Address. It should be 192.168.0.10X, where X should be a number from 0-9 depending on how many computers are connected to LAN. If you need an actual IP address, use www.whatismyip.com
I am behind a routerqckbeam said:That's quite odd foxtrot. I play SS2 online often actually, and I've never had a problem save for one time when I was behind my firewall.
