System Shock Discussion.

The "training" area is the only bad point of the game really. I mean, you walk around for an age selecting your paths and missions, and you don't get to do squat :P After that... well, if you don't like it from the first few minutes of the actual game, you're not going to suddenly start liking it.

Well, I got the game. For some reason everything is speeded up. It's like it's twice as fast. This has never happened before. Any ideas?

hmm, anyone want to play multiplayer?

I'm positive it'll go fast if the other person has a DSL, Cable, T1 connection (I've got dial-up), I just heard of this on the TTLG.com/forums, and I want to play co-op, it sounds fun!

I know, I know - Bumped!

SS2 co-op is great, but you kind of need to be on the phone with the person you're playing with. There is no voice comm, and there's tons of things that to be said. I play it with my sister and we talk nonstop, it would be really hard to type it all.

Well I just got the game (System Shock 2). I was on the "first" level, the medlabs. And wow is this game scary. I mean not like doom 3, no lights try too hard to be scary kind. This is just more like wow I just **** myself scary. Like when you least expect it a zombie will come out of NOWHERE and hit you. It seems like they randomly respawn and come from behind. Not to mention I have only been playing with the lights on, and everyones walking around the house. I haven't even played, w/ headphones, lights off, and real late at night.

And man was it fun to get this game working on XP (sarcasm)

System Shock 2 scared the crap out of me when I was young, about 7 or 8. That and HL are the two first games I've ever played.

SS2 does have infinite respawning enemies which makes the beginning really scary because you're never safe, but later in the game it becomes really annoying. That's not to say the game stops being scary because there's all kinds of other things to scare you, but I found myself getting really tired of blasting protocol droids in the Deck 5 crew quarters. I think Bioshock should have a huge finite number of enemies that can roam the entire game world, but can be kept a bay by locking doors and reprogramming security systems.

I just got to Hydroponics yesterday!

\o/

Midwives are hard to kill, luckily I just got my Energy skill to 1, and blast the hell out of em with the energy pistol, now!

BTW, Widwives have no shirts D: dismantled boobies ftl.

I also got the grenade launcher, but have no heavy skill D: I just need it level one, too! dammit!
