I was wondering if there is any good software that will type what you say into the microphone on Microsoft Word? I know there is one built into Microsoft Word but it's not that great.

I hope it to be quicker than typing, it would also involve less work lol.

You have to train the software to your voice before it works properly.

The one in Word works fine if you take the time to train it (plus it learns as you go along). My wife uses it for writing, emails, even IM stuff with near-100% accuracy.

I've just worked on it now. Done 4 training things, it's still not too good, maybe I need to train it more.

My brother bought one called dragon naturally speaking a long time ago... but never utilized it much.

the dragon one is pretty good, takes about half a day for talking to get it working with your voice.

never used it though.

Dragon Naturally Speaking Version 9 pwns, hands down. It is by far the best one out there. I use it all the time and love the Firefox compatibility. It's pretty darn expensive, but there are ways of getting it... But seriously, don't bother with any other software, Dragon is the best. ;)

Just tried Dragon Naturally, it's amazing.

I only did the intro practice and it's really good, picks up lots of words and if you have a problem with 1 word, you can get the software to practice the one word your having problems with to fix it straight away.

I'll do some more teaching reads to get it even more accurate. It really wipes the floor with the Microsoft one.
